James Wainwright

James Wainwright was born on May 29, 1842 and was the son of James Wainwright and Elizabeth Lewis. We first find him on the 1861 census living at 13 Prospect Street in the district of Chorlton, in Manchester and working as a Lath Maker, an occupation he was to have for all of his working life. He is listed on the census as a boarder and the head of the house is 25 year old Edward Sidebottom also a Lath Maker.

Interesting to note that Edward Sidebottom and his wife, Mary, were also witnesses one year later to the marriage of James and Ann Maria.

James died on Aug. 24, 1927.
