Joseph Wainwright was the second child of James and Ann Maria. He was born in 1865 and growing up he became a Lath Maker like his father. He married Mary Jane Cooper and they had 4 children that I know of: Alice, Annie, James, and Robert. Joseph took over the Wainwright Lath business from his father in about 1911 or 1912. The business had to close in 1916 when they ran out of timber due to the war.
Mary Jane died in 1936 and Joseph passed away on Feb 15, 1941.
Alice Wainwright, daughter of Joseph Wainwright and Mary Jane Cooper, was born Sept. 1887 in Chorlton, married Archibald Hodkinson who was born in 1884 in Hobart, Tasmania. They were married in Chorlton, Lancashire in Dec. 1905. They had at least 6 children - Clara 1914, who married Harold Jones, (my husbands parents) Bertha, - married John R. Hadfield, William Leslie, married Robina Thompson, Richard Alfred,born 11 May 1920, married twice, first wife was Margaret M Leigh, and they had one son, who I think was called Reynold. They divorced about 1946. The second marriage, I believe was to Marian Ward and they had 2 children. I am not certain about that marriage. Gordon was born in Sept. 1928, his wife was Helen, and I know nothing about Florence other than she was born in Sept. 1906. All these men were builders, Architect of some kind.
